Fine Arts

Students of the Fine Arts program are initially admitted to a two-semester study period in the foundation year (known as "O-Bereich") at the 体球网,足球比分网体球网,足球比分网 (see link "Orientierungsbereich"). Supervised by their professors and numerous instructors, the students of one admission year work together with those admitted in the same winter semester in the Art Education program in different fields of art. They participate in the course "Introduction to Art History / Art Science" in the first semester and an introductory event in another subject of art-related sciences in the second semester. At the end of the first year of study, the presentation of the produced works (known as O-Bereich examination) and the application for a studio study place in a class are required.

After passing the O-Bereich examination, the students are admitted to the studio study at the 体球网,足球比分网体球网,足球比分网. Starting from the third semester, they each belong to a studio class led by an artist professor in the fields of painting, painting and graphic design, sculpture, photography, stage design, graphics, or film and video. The class study takes place in the studio work, colloquia, excursions, workshops, and other events. In parallel with the class study, students pursue their studies in art-related sciences in various forms of teaching events.

The study of fine arts is completed with an artistic degree that is called "Academy letter" (Akademiebrief). As a personal honor, students can be proposed by their artist professor for appointment as a "Meisterschüler*in" (master student) by the rector of the Kunstakademie, earliest after the 7th semester.
